So, I swung by Fig Tree Cafe in the Gaslamp for a midweek brunch sesh. Opted for the chicken Caesar salad, and while it was decent, it felt a tad on the petite side - same with the chicken portion. Service was cool, not super hands-on but friendly vibes all around. Inside, it's spacious with plenty of seats, so no stress about finding a spot. Will I be back? Yeah, for sure, but maybe not in the immediate future. Overall, a solid brunch spot worth checking out if you're in the area. Special mention. If you're gluten free like my co-bruncher, Fig Tree has several options to suffice your palette. Welp! Onto the next!

OMG- the ingredients are soooo fresh! Ricotta stuffed French Toast and chorizo omelette are outstanding. Tried a sourdough English muffin- excellent! It's amazing to see other meals coming out to other tables- hard to choose. Ya need to know (from the website): fresh, local ingredients, selecting produce and eggs from a family farm in Ramona

Very cute in here. Big space with lots of tables a decent distance away from each other so you wouldn't be stuffed in even if it was busy. Staff was nice. We were seated right away. I got the shrimp frittatta which was delicious! Perfect mix of eggs and cheese and shrimp and sauce. It came with lots of potatoes and some basic, dry bread. But I was too full to get to the bread anyway!

This was a first time visit and so happy we did. The server was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. So pictures below for what my granddaughter and I ordered. Prepared by order I could tell it was freshly made.
